Woodfolk products are designed in Australia by Julia Denes and handmade in collaboration with Nepali artisans. Woodfolk is committed to working with small, family-run businesses as well as female-focused organizations, creating opportunity and support through social entrepreneurship.  The company's long term goal is to bring meaningful change to the lives of partner artisans, creating fairer alternatives to businesses seeking trade with third world communities. 

Core to Woodfolk’s ethos is a commitment to the environment. Items are created exclusively using wood, ceramic, cotton and linen, all sustainable materials. The wood used, Sisoo, is local to Nepal, is fast growing and plantation grown. All Woodfolk pieces are packaged in handmade, 100% cotton pouches and the company uses 100% recycled paper, traditional ink and hand-pressed stamps for branding and packaging.
